It feels like forever since I’ve been on here…

Hello everyone! I honestly didn’t think I’d ever find the time to do this again until I realized I actually have a lot of free time on my hands. Unfortunately, for the past few months I have been really busy and when I had free time I spent it on other people. I decided it’s about time I start doing things for me and doing the things I love to do. So that’s why I’m back and I’m realizing how much I have missed writing.

Over the past few months that I haven’t been blogging, I was busy finishing up my high school career. I went to Prom, had my last Dance Showcase, and spoke at my high school graduation. It’s pretty crazy how fast life goes by.. I feel like it was just yesterday I was an angsty freshman listening to punk rock music (lol). Back then I would have never guessed I’d be speaking at my graduation as senior class president with a GPA over a 3.0.. I struggled a lot with myself, my friends, and my grades in high school, but I’m glad I finally figured it all out in the end.

My biggest advice to high schoolers is to just let yourself be you…

  • Don’t hold yourself back for anyone.
  • Do what makes YOU happy.
  • Get out of your comfort zone, but don’t lose yourself while doing it.
  • If you have a bad feeling about doing something, you’re probably doing something bad so don’t do it. Listen to your gut!

There will be times when you feel like the whole world is against you, but I promise you, you will get through it and it will be worth it.

Now that I let my nostalgic self splurge, let me tell you about how not exciting my summer has been. Only two days after my graduation I had to get nose surgery (septoplasty and rhinoplasty). I had to have it done because for years I  struggled with breathing out of my left nostril due to a deviated septum. Honestly, I also wasn’t too happy with the appearance of my nose so I decided I might as well just get it fixed! Because of my surgery I wasn’t able to participate in  much for about 2 weeks and even now, almost a month after surgery, I haven’t fully recovered. Once my swelling goes down completely, I’ll be posting some before and after pictures!

That’s all I have to say for now and I hope you all enjoyed the read. I can’t wait to write again and don’t worry, it will be soon!

website. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance” between usability and visual appearance.

I must say you’ve done a excellent job with this.
