Living at Arizona State University

Hello everyone! I have been so busy lately that I haven’t had a chance to write. This month, I moved into my dorm at Arizona State University. My room is so cute and I have already made a few new friends. My roommate and suite-mates are awesome and they make living here so easy.
College dorm room shopping is insane and I don’t even understand how other bloggers keep track of all the stuff they bought. All I can tell you is most of my stuff is from Bed, Bath & Beyond and Target. These two stores have everything a person would ever need in a dorm room. I do remember where I got my tapestry and that is from Society 6 which I found via Pinterest! I used Pinterest so much to direct me on the right path of dorm room decorating.

My Side
This is my side of the room! I have a little area under my bed and a food and coffee area.

So far on my college journey, I’ve really only learned where to eat, where my classes are, and where to workout. Since I live in the dorm here, I was required to sign up for a meal plan. I signed up for the one where I get 2 meals a day. I now realize that I should’ve just signed up for one a day because I am far too lazy to walk to the dining hall (it’s less than 5 minutes away) more than one time a day. All my classes are at least 10 minutes or more of walking from my dorm. That doesn’t sound bad, but must I remind you, I LIVE IN ARIZONA. More than 5 minutes outside here is hell. And what sucks more is that all of my classrooms/lecture halls stay at a solid 80 degrees. After walking in Arizona’s 100 degree weather, I expect to walk into buildings with freezing A/C temperatures, but no they decide to torture me further with boob sweat and smelly classmates. Besides all of that, I actually love most of my classes.  My professors are amazing. I’m sure once Winter comes around I will enjoy my time here at ASU more. Since I’ve been here for about 2 weeks, I’ve only been to the gym once… yesterday. It’s a really nice (HUGE) gym, but people are jerks and leave 45 pound weights on all of the equipment. I know I can take those weights off myself, but I shouldn’t have to and it slows my workout down. I think I have been spoiled with the gym I go to when I’m at home. Mostly everyone at that gym has good “gym etiquette.” After getting frustrated with the weight room, I found an open studio to finish my workout in.

Besides all of the negative things I’ve found while being here, I’ve also realized I go to a really awesome school. I’m sure as the year goes on and the temperatures drop I will truly love everything ASU has to provide.

I hope you all enjoyed catching up!

xx.
