My First Fall Outfit of the Year.

Last night, I finally decided I needed to do something for my blog. So, I put together a cute fall outfit that would be perfect for a chill-boho-chic chick. For me, Fall means flannels and booties. So, I tied together the two with some ripped boyfriend jeans and a black crop top. I also threw in the necklace to give the look a more edgy vibe. All together, I think this outfit is perfect for Fall.

Over the past few weeks, I have been adjusting to ASU. So far, it has been great and the weather is FINALLY starting to cool down. Besides that, I am so done with bikers and skateboarders. On campus, I am a million times more likely to get hit by a biker or a skateboarder than an actual car. People are total jerks when they’re in a hurry to get to class. Speaking of class, I still sit alone for the most part because I some how don’t know anyone out of the 300 students in my lectures. In my math class, I got unusually excited when the gay kid in our class sat next to me. I think I was trying too hard to spark conversation because he didn’t even say bye to me when class ended. I know, I’m so embarrassing. I don’t even try very hard to make friends with the girls in my classes because they already don’t even acknowledge me. The other day, I was surrounded by girls and they were all asking each other which sorority they were in and none of them even cared to ask me. I must apparently not look like a sorority girl, but guess what?! I am one. I recently took a bid from Sigma Kappa. Luckily, none of the girls I’ve met so far in my sorority are as unwelcoming as those girls in my classes. I actually chose Sigma Kappa because they seemed the most real and they were definitely the most diverse, in my eyes.

I’m sure as the year goes on I will have some more embarrassing stories about me trying to make friends to tell you all. Until then, I hope you all are fashionably inspired by my outfit and maybe got a giggle out of my embarrassing life. Lol.

Living at Arizona State University

Hello everyone! I have been so busy lately that I haven’t had a chance to write. This month, I moved into my dorm at Arizona State University. My room is so cute and I have already made a few new friends. My roommate and suite-mates are awesome and they make living here so easy.
College dorm room shopping is insane and I don’t even understand how other bloggers keep track of all the stuff they bought. All I can tell you is most of my stuff is from Bed, Bath & Beyond and Target. These two stores have everything a person would ever need in a dorm room. I do remember where I got my tapestry and that is from Society 6 which I found via Pinterest! I used Pinterest so much to direct me on the right path of dorm room decorating.

My Side
This is my side of the room! I have a little area under my bed and a food and coffee area.

So far on my college journey, I’ve really only learned where to eat, where my classes are, and where to workout. Since I live in the dorm here, I was required to sign up for a meal plan. I signed up for the one where I get 2 meals a day. I now realize that I should’ve just signed up for one a day because I am far too lazy to walk to the dining hall (it’s less than 5 minutes away) more than one time a day. All my classes are at least 10 minutes or more of walking from my dorm. That doesn’t sound bad, but must I remind you, I LIVE IN ARIZONA. More than 5 minutes outside here is hell. And what sucks more is that all of my classrooms/lecture halls stay at a solid 80 degrees. After walking in Arizona’s 100 degree weather, I expect to walk into buildings with freezing A/C temperatures, but no they decide to torture me further with boob sweat and smelly classmates. Besides all of that, I actually love most of my classes.  My professors are amazing. I’m sure once Winter comes around I will enjoy my time here at ASU more. Since I’ve been here for about 2 weeks, I’ve only been to the gym once… yesterday. It’s a really nice (HUGE) gym, but people are jerks and leave 45 pound weights on all of the equipment. I know I can take those weights off myself, but I shouldn’t have to and it slows my workout down. I think I have been spoiled with the gym I go to when I’m at home. Mostly everyone at that gym has good “gym etiquette.” After getting frustrated with the weight room, I found an open studio to finish my workout in.

Besides all of the negative things I’ve found while being here, I’ve also realized I go to a really awesome school. I’m sure as the year goes on and the temperatures drop I will truly love everything ASU has to provide.

I hope you all enjoyed catching up!

Last night, my amazing boyfriend took me out to dinner and I decided to take on a simple look for the evening. My entire outfit is from Topshop! Including the necklace. I’m not sure what brand the ring is, but I know it’s from Nordstrom!

Did anyone notice anything different about me??(; I got bangs!! I decided I wanted to spice up my hair and bangs were the decision. I definitely have to get used to them, but let me know what you think!

My Early Access Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Experience:

Nordstrom’s normal pre-sale for their anniversary starts tomorrow…  But luckily my mom has made her ranks in Nordstrom over the years so we got early access to the pre-sale. After spending 6 1/2 hours in one store with a small break to get lunch at Neiman Marcus, it takes a toll on your body. Right now my back and feet are aching, but it was all worth it. The sale was great!

At first we weren’t seeing all that great of stuff. The bags and shoes were probably the most “not so amazing” part of the sale. In my opinion, they could’ve done better! Once we got to the jewelry section, the sale adrenaline started kicking in. They have some really great deals in the jewelry area, but I didn’t see anything I was in need of. I also saw a few nice packages in the makeup section, but I once again left the area with nothing in my bag. Finally, we got to my favorite part… Clothes. There was so many awesome things on sale in all of the clothing tents! Honestly, I think the deals were really great. I get excited now just thinking about all the amazing clothes I got. Thankfully, my mom and I had Tara Aaron (a person stylist at Scottsdale Nordstrom) to guide us to the best of the sale! I came home with some really really cute outfits. A lot of it is Fall clothing, but I love it all so much I’m probably going  wear it all before Fall even starts. And let’s be real.. Fall doesn’t even exist in Arizona! Speaking of “Fall,” I start school in the Fall and that’s why going into the home section of the sale was one of the most exciting parts of my day. I ended up getting a duvet, a pillow, and a throw! Buying all of this stuff for college is making me so ready for it to begin! I’ll be sure to make my dorm room tour Pinterest worthy! Lol. Until then,enjoy some sneak-peak pictures of my favorite items I got at the sale.

Happy shopping everyone!

Phoenix->Vegas->Puerto Peñasco

Over the past week I celebrated my brother’s birthday and my boyfriend’s birthday. It has been quite the exciting week of traveling! For my brother’s birthday my family, his friends, my boyfriend and I headed up to Vegas to celebrate his 21st!

We arrived in Vegas on Aidan’s (my brother) birthday, a Friday, after a 5 hour drive from Phoenix. For his birthday, my parents got him a cabana at the Encore Beach Club. Of course I couldn’t let him party without me! So, my under 21 self, found my way into that beach club. It was quite the day listening to Diplo DJ, which ended in our group getting kicked out of the beach club. Lol. Even though we got booted out, the day was still a blast. That night, my boyfriend and I were exhausted and only left the room once to get cheeseburgers with my mom and some friends. The next day we explored the strip, ate, and partied. By Sunday, it was time for my boyfriend and I to head back to Phoenix to get some more clothes and drive to Puerto Peñasco, Mexico.

We arrived in Puerto Peñasco (aka Rocky Point) around 9 PM that night with my boyfriend’s brother, his fiancé, their cousin, and one of our friends. That night we just went to eat and headed to bed. The next day a few more of our friends arrived and we hungout at the beach.

Throughout the week, we spent most of our time at the beach and going into town. It was a great time celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday and doing dumb stuff with our friends. I definitely had too much fun getting pulled under by waves and tanning (or burning:/) my skin.

The past week has been great, but it’s time to get back to reality. I only have a little over a month before I move into my dorm and I still have plenty to do to get ready for it. Maybe I should stop pinning ideas for my room on Pinterest and actually buy some of it!

Thank you for reading everyone! Please share if you liked the read!

My Top 3 Pins of the Week!

Anyone who has a Pinterest account understands my obsession. I look to Pinterest whenever I need some creative ideas or need a bit of inspiration in my life. Even though Pinterest has become “a place for moms,” by word of mouth, it’s really for anyone. Believe it or not, even my boyfriend has a Pinterest account… mostly just so he can pin his favorite pictures of Arianna Grande. He’s probably going to kill me for writing that on here haha. Anyways, I love Pinterest and I know so many of my friends do as well so I decided to post my top 3 favorite pins of the week!

[I do not own any credit to the following pictures]

  1. This dress is perfect for summer. It’s so simple and airy! Plus… IT’S BRALESS. Seriously though, who really wants to wear a bra in the summer?! Not me. I also love the shoes and purse in this outfit, it all comes together really well! {}
  2. This outfit seems perfect for a business woman on her day off… Or for any fashion driven woman. I love everything about this. The suede cami with slacks and the skinny belt makes my heart melt. {}IMG_2767
  3. I feel like I go through phases between chic and boho.. this outfit combines the two so well. This dress seems so summery and fun. The perfect outfit for daytime festivities! {}IMG_2771If you would like to see more of what I pin throughout the week, be sure to follow me!

I hope you all had as great of a weekend as I did! I got to be part of a proposal. One of Elektro Academy’s directors and my boyfriend’s brother, Nico, proposed to his girlfriend and we all got to be part of it! If you would like to see how it all went down, check the video out! {click here}

It feels like forever since I’ve been on here…

Hello everyone! I honestly didn’t think I’d ever find the time to do this again until I realized I actually have a lot of free time on my hands. Unfortunately, for the past few months I have been really busy and when I had free time I spent it on other people. I decided it’s about time I start doing things for me and doing the things I love to do. So that’s why I’m back and I’m realizing how much I have missed writing.

Over the past few months that I haven’t been blogging, I was busy finishing up my high school career. I went to Prom, had my last Dance Showcase, and spoke at my high school graduation. It’s pretty crazy how fast life goes by.. I feel like it was just yesterday I was an angsty freshman listening to punk rock music (lol). Back then I would have never guessed I’d be speaking at my graduation as senior class president with a GPA over a 3.0.. I struggled a lot with myself, my friends, and my grades in high school, but I’m glad I finally figured it all out in the end.

My biggest advice to high schoolers is to just let yourself be you…

  • Don’t hold yourself back for anyone.
  • Do what makes YOU happy.
  • Get out of your comfort zone, but don’t lose yourself while doing it.
  • If you have a bad feeling about doing something, you’re probably doing something bad so don’t do it. Listen to your gut!

There will be times when you feel like the whole world is against you, but I promise you, you will get through it and it will be worth it.

Now that I let my nostalgic self splurge, let me tell you about how not exciting my summer has been. Only two days after my graduation I had to get nose surgery (septoplasty and rhinoplasty). I had to have it done because for years I  struggled with breathing out of my left nostril due to a deviated septum. Honestly, I also wasn’t too happy with the appearance of my nose so I decided I might as well just get it fixed! Because of my surgery I wasn’t able to participate in  much for about 2 weeks and even now, almost a month after surgery, I haven’t fully recovered. Once my swelling goes down completely, I’ll be posting some before and after pictures!

That’s all I have to say for now and I hope you all enjoyed the read. I can’t wait to write again and don’t worry, it will be soon!

The Rise

This past weekend was unforgettable! The dance crew I am part of, Elektro Academy, headed to Irvine for a hip hop competition hosted by Chapkis Dance Family called Collaboration SoCal. We definitely represented The Rise and Arizona very well considering we took home 2nd place and the Outlawz took 1st place!

Holding our trophy!!

Weekends where I get to do what I love are my favorite, especially when it’s with some of the best people I know. Throughout this year, The Rise is really going to rise and make a mark on the dance world and I’m so excited that I get to be a part of it. The Rise represents some of the best dance crews in AZ, Elektro Academy, the Outlawz, the Elektro Botz, Elektro Elite, Elektrolyttlez, and the Elektrolytes. All of these crews are made up of some seriously talented dancers, so make sure you keep your eye out for us as we continue to compete.

One thing we really need help with is getting a new dance studio to practice in. We are currently in a room far too small to hold the amount of dancers we have and we are incapable of having more than one practice going at one time because of the lack of space. If you would like to help us out, please check out our gofundme account: . Also, be sure to check out The Rise Clothing! You can find them on instagram and twitter @theriseco_ !

Valentines Day Makeup!!

IMG_0992 IMG_0993

I decided to keep it a little more on the natural side for this look. I only used eyeshadows from the Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay. I definitely recommend this palette for any romantic look. I love how all of the shades have some sort of rosy tone to them. For lips, I tend to wear a color that matches my eyeshadows or compliments them. I mixed so many different colors for my lip color to look like this, I honestly don’t even know what I ended up using. It came out very pink with an icy tone. Moving onto my face, I did my usual routine using the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer and Nars All Day Luminous Foundation. After I set my foundation, I used the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette. This palette is to die for! It makes a beautiful natural glow to the face that I haven’t been able to achieve with any other product! You really can’t get the full effect via photos, but your date won’t be able to keep their eyes off of you! With any look, make sure you end with a setting spray to make your look last all day (and through that valentines make-out sesh (; haha)!

I hope you all enjoyed this look and I can’t wait to post more! I will be spending my Valentines Day at dance practice and going on a date later with a tub of ice cream and Netflix. Hopefully you all have a Valentines Day as amazing as mine haha!
